Golden Turtle Plunges into the Ocean

"First you were like, 'whoa'! And then we were all like, 'whoa'! And then you were like, 'whoa'."

This move always makes me think of the surfer turtles from Finding Nemo.

There's this joyful, head-first plunge. It's interesting to compare this feeling with YuFengXiaShan 御風下山 – "Ride the Wind Down the Mountain", which has much more complicated things going on with the legs and feet.

This feels like it comes from the lower back, bending forward, the arms sweeping around, then returning energy to the kidneys.

There's a cycle to it, feels like swimming the breaststroke, a turtle, a frog, a waterbug.

When Master Wu demonstrates this in the video, there's a kind of bounce as the arms reach the end of their sweep, pointed at the kidneys.

There's a similar bounce at the end of the chopping sword movement in ShenJianZhanXie 神劍斬邪 – "Spiritual Sword Kills the Demon". I'm curious about this bouncing movement -- it's not mentioned in the text, but it's quite noticeable.

Maybe I'll take a class with Master Wu someday and ask him about it.
